    About the "Department"

     

    + Same-day or outpatient surgery offers a convenient, lower-cost option for patients undergoing minor surgery or surgeries that do not require and overnight stay. All outpatient surgeries are performed in a state-of-the-art facility by a staff of highly trained physicians, surgeons, nurses and other medical professionals.

    About The Career:

    + The Registered Nurse - Infusion Specialist will operate in a Same Day setting to provide care and administer infusion therapies, monitor patients and record results on an outpatient basis . This position will also coordinate services with lab, pharmacy, community clinics and other entities participating in patients' care.

    All About You :

    + Graduation from an accredited registered nursing program with a Degree in Nursing.

    + BLS required upon hire.

    + Three years of clinical experience that includes training in infusion therapy preferred.

    + Knowledge of infusion medications, hospital processes and policies for infusions.

    + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.

    + Completion of infusion port access

    + Encompasses a wide range of nursing, psycho-social and medical information which includes nursing process, communication and problem solving, assessment and prioritizing skills.
