    UW Medicine’s Patient Financial Services department** has an outstanding opportunity for a **Patient Account Representative 1** **WORK SCHEDULE

     

    + 40 hours per week

    + Day Shift

    + HYRBID – Must be able to work 1-2 days onsite at Sand Point location **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**

    + Screen, scan and process incoming correspondence to ensure routing to appropriate work queues/units

    + Print, distribute and mail claims; process returned mail

    + Print medical records and itemizations as required for claims submission

    + Produce and print account summaries, itemizations, and other documents as required, in response to requests from attorneys and others

    + Perform data entry, document activities accurately in all applicable systems, and in accordance with departmental policies and procedures

    + Post adjustments to patient accounts according to departmental procedures

    + Post and balance daily remittances to patient accounts; post allowances and adjustments accompanying cash remittances

    + Maintain confidentiality of information, including protected health information

    + Participate in and attend meetings and trainings
