The **Family Practice Physician** shall deliver quality care to attain positive health outcomes for all our valued patients with emphasis on cultural sensitivity and human dignity.

     

    The Wewoka Indian Health Center provides “outpatient services in general medicine, medical imaging (including onsite mammography), audiology, pharmacy, optometry, dentistry, asthma clinic, counseling for emotional problems, and nutrition counseling.” For a more details on the services, clinics, and outreach programs provided, visit https://www.ihs.gov/oklahomacity/healthcarefacilities/wewoka/

    Position details:

    + 1099, rate $155-175/hour

    + 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday

    + Chenega covers medical malpractice insurance

    + Patient Volume: Estimated 20 per day

    Responsibilities

    + Examine, diagnose, and develop treatment plans and recommendations for patients seen.

    + Recommend and refer patients to other Indian Health Service providers and Purchase Referred Care vendors.

    + Document services in theelectronic medical record system for patient encounters; complete administrative paperwork including electronic consults, co-signatures, completion of chart or Risk Management Reviews, unusualoccurrencesand peer review.

    + Provide consultation to the Hospital Emergency Department healthcare providers on an as needed basis.

    + Provide physician service and staff urgent care clinic, as needed.

    Qualifications

    + Permanent, current,fulland unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.

    + Board Certified in or Board Eligible in Family Practice and/or Internal Medicine.

    + Successful completion of a residency program in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Training Program.

    + Active BLS and ACLS certifications.

    + Active DEA license.

     

    Estimated Salary/Wage

     

    USD $155.00/Hr. Up to USD $175.00/Hr.
