About this unit

Royal Oak's Hemodialysis Unit is a 10 bay and 2 room procedural area staffed with RN's who are solely responsible for dialysis treatments, a Unit Secretary, and a Dialysis Assistant responsible for machine cleaning and maintenance and nursing assistant duties. Our team members care for hospitalized patients in new onset/acute renal failure as well as inpatients with chronic end stage renal disease. Treatments are completed within the dialysis unit as well as within EC, critical care units, and select medical patients at bedside. The group possesses many years of collective dialysis experience and teamwork is our cornerstone.

Scope of Work

Hemodialysis assistant supports bedside nursing in caring for patients undergoing hemodialysis and therapeutic apheresis in an acute care hospital setting.

Qualifications

+ Required High School Diploma or equivalent

+ Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire
