    As our HIM Associate II, you will be maintaining the integrity and precision of patient records. You’ll use your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interview patients as well as physicians and their staff. Your role plays a key part in managing and overseeing health information systems.

     

    To thrive in this position, you will need to be detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about handling sensitive information. You will use your understanding of Health Informatics (HI) to run an error analysis and recommend solutions. Exercises independent judgment related to the retrieval of health information.

     

    Previous experience in health information management will give you leverage to understand the department. We will teach you our industry-leading technology and a variety of medical terminology to perform at your best and feel good about what you do.

    Here’s what you will experience working as an HIM Associate:

    + You will be responsible for ensuring that the resolution of health record deficiencies is in accordance with patient care, regulatory compliance, legal standards, and reimbursement activities.

    + You will be entering and updating R1 software (epars, PAS, Chart Manager) for their specified functions of central business office requests, denials, and DNFB activities.

    + You will manage transcription issues as directed by the R1 transcription team.

    + Perform EMPI functions to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the facility's master patient index as well as the patient's medical record.

    + You will monitor the task queues for data integrity issues including duplicates, overlaps, and overlays as well as other data integrity issues.

    + You will initiate the medical record suspension process according to the facility and regulatory requirements.

     

    For this US-based position, the base pay range is $0.00 - $0.00 per hour . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
