If you are ready to take on a pivotal role as **Recreation Coordinator,** we want to hear from you! Join the HealthFitness team in **Coraopolis, PA,** a vibrant Western suburb of Pittsburgh, and immerse yourself in a dynamic position where you will coordinate the programming, development, design, implementation, and evaluation of our onsite recreation program. Gain experience in the fitness industry with the opportunity to teach group exercise classes and offer personal training as well! Provide outstanding service to members and program participants to maximize participation, outcomes and customer satisfaction.
40 hours, M-F, no weekends. Will work a combination of opening and closing shifts between the hours of 6a - 6p.

What you will be doing:
+ Oversees all programming, development, design, implementation and evaluation of the recreation program.
+ Promotes recreation program offerings and conducts outreach activities to increase participation.
+ Creates and maintains league and tournament brackets.
+ Supervises recreation program and facilities; interacts with participants and monitors equipment and participant safety.
+ Designs flyers and posters for recreation league, Projects, Gym Special Events.
+ Performs recreation maintenance responsibilities; ensures playing facilities and equipment are functional and always stocked.
+ Provides individual and group exercise instruction; educates participants on proper techniques to maximize exercise safety and effectiveness.
+ Additional duties as assigned.
What you bring with you:
+ Associate's degree or higher in Recreation Management, Sports Management or related discipline **_OR_** an equivalent combination of education, certifications and experience.
+ Current First Aid and CPR/AED certifications required from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, National Safety Council or American Safety & Health Institute. _Note: certification must have an in-person component/OSHA compliant and not 100% online._
+ Industry recognized Group Exercise certification from ACE, AFAA/NASM, ACSM, NCCPT or NETA required prior to start date.
+ NCCA Accredited Personal Trainer certification from an Industry recognized and HealthFitness approved agency, including MTS; _if not current, will be required within 3-6 months of hire._
+ Experience in running leagues and creating tournament brackets required.
+ Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office.
+ Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to meet program needs.
+ Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
+ Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
Compensation: $18.25-$20.20/Hour. Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications. Additional commission opportunities for someone with an industry recognized and HealthFitness approved Personal Trainer certification.
