This Opportunity
WSP is looking for an experienced Senior Hydraulic and Hydrology Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate possesses 15+ years of related design engineering experience and is willing to collaborate, innovate, and grow a team.
Your Impact
+ Lead the analysis and design of hydraulic structures, including dams, channels, culverts, spillways, and stormwater management systems.
+ Oversee and conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using industry-standard software (e.g., HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM).
+ Develop and review technical reports, designs, specifications and permit drawings.
+ Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil engineers, environmental scientists, and urban planners.
+ Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and staff.
+ Ensure projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, and standards.
+ Ability to lead a client or sector program.
+ Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project progress and ensure quality control.
+ Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Water Resources.
+ Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
+ Minimum of 12 years of experience in hydraulic and hydrology engineering or a closely related field.
+ Certified Floodplain Manager.
