    Your Impact

    Essential Responsibilities

    + Collaborate with Construction Materials Lab Managers to support construction materials testing, inspection, and laboratory groups statewide.

    + Participate in annual proficiency sample programs.

    + Possess knowledge of laboratory tests, field testing procedures, and inspections.

    + Uphold responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company resources and conduct, following WSP’s Code of Conduct.

     

    Who You Are

    Required Qualifications

    + High school diploma / GED.

    + Preferably experience in construction materials testing and inspection services.

    + Able to become proficient in interpreting and adhering to FDOT/ASTM/AASHTO standards.

    + Work in the laboratory as a Technician with the ability to work some weekends and extended hours for overtime pay, when required.

    + Effective communication skills for positive interaction with project team members and clients.

    + Exceptional organizational abilities and adept at handling multiple tasks simultaneously.

    + Capable of conducting lab testing tasks, including lifting heavy equipment and samples.

    + Able to perform duties involving prolonged standing and repetitive movements.

    + Self-driven, diligent, and able to work both independently and in team settings.

    + Proficient in completing assignments within specified guidelines and deadlines.

    + Must meet background check and driving record requirements as per company policy.

    + Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and compliance with company policies.

    + The ability to attain CTQP or ACI certifications: o Aggregate Testing Technician o Aggregate Base Testing Technician o Concrete Lab Technician Level 1 o LBR Technician o Qualified Sampler Technician

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience with CMEC, AMRL, CCRL and USACE Laboratory Accreditations.

    + Experience with FDOT Laboratory Accreditations.

    + Experience with FDOT Materials Acceptance and Certification System.
