    The Opportunity:

    The Infrastructure Engineering team is responsible for planning, deploying, and supporting our Nutanix Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) environment. You will ensure that our on-premises and cloud-integrated workloads achieve the required performance, availability, and scalability by leveraging Nutanix AOS, Prism, AHV, and related virtualization technologies.

    Responsibilities:

    + Deploy, configure, and upgrade Nutanix clusters using Prism and Prism Central.

    + Manage and support AHV hypervisors within the Nutanix ecosystem.

    + Manage and support network equipment in the Nutanix environment including firewalls and network switches/routers.

    + Monitor cluster health, capacity, and performance; tune settings to optimize resource utilization.

    + Review and implement security configurations in the Nutanix Cluster and overall environment adhering to DoD requirements.

    + Design and implement backup, recovery, and Nutanix-native disaster-recovery solutions.

    + Automate provisioning, patching, and reporting workflows via PowerShell, REST API, Ansible, and Terraform.

    + Conduct disaster-recovery drills, validate restore procedures, and maintain job guides/runbooks.

    + Mentor and train junior team members on HCI and virtualization best practices.

    Qualifications:

    _Required:_

    + An active Secret clearance.

    + 7+ years of relevant experience.

    + BA/BS or equivalent years of relevant experience.

    + DoD 8570/8140 IAT II baseline certification (e.g., CySA+, CND, Security+ CE, CCNA Security).

    + Deep hands-on experience with Nutanix AOS, Prism, and AHV virtualization.

    + Strong Windows Server administration (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, RDS and GPO management.

    + Strong Linux administration knowledge including file systems, permissions, system monitoring, scripting, and RBAC.

    + Expertise in PowerShell scripting and using Nutanix REST APIs for automation.

    + Familiarity with enterprise backup and DR tools (Veeam, Commvault) in HCI contexts.

    + Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, LACP).

    + Proven capacity-planning, performance-tuning, and troubleshooting skills for HCI clusters.

    + Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform, Git) for provisioning and lifecycle management.

    _Desired:_

    + DoD 8570/8140 IAT III baseline certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCNP Security).

    The proposed salary range for this position is:

    $94,400 - $198,300
