The Manager of Billing Platforms is a lead role responsible for driving business process transformation, optimization and standardization across billing and settlement functions. This position will lead comprehensive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, revenue quality, accurate billing, and process excellence through innovation, analytics, optimization, and multi-functional collaboration.

What You’ll Do

+ Responsible for defining and executing end to end improvements across Profiling, Billing and Settlement functions for AmexGBT across multiple markets

+ Responsible for facilitating collaboration between multi-functional teams, such as technology and business teams, to efficiently diagnose and resolve reported system defects across global time zones

+ Drive technology improvements and system implementation that drive a step change in operational efficiency and increase revenue

+ Develop standardized methodologies, tools, procedures and reporting to drive consistency and eliminate breakage; ensure compliance and control standards are in place

+ Improve operational efficiency by targeting process standardization and outsourcing.

+ Partner with Client Management, Service Delivery Network, Technology, Finance, and Controllership to meet joint priorities

+ Collaborate with key partners to understand the business needs and objectives.

+ Document and handle dependencies, risks, and issues.

+ Coordinate & host team meetings to ensure seamless collaboration, review progress and address any questions or challenges raised. Send meeting notes with clear action items and timelines.

+ Provide detailed periodic status reports.

+ Compile various data sources with large amounts of data and link data together to create reports/solutions and upload and maintain all project documentation on tools like Confluence

+ Present complex information and data in an uncomplicated, easy-to-understand way - "break it down" to suit the audience (by using presentation slides, Visio diagrams etc)

+ Effectively handle issues and risks that arise during the lifecycle of the project

+ Lead and assist with the installation and configuration of the global travel billing and settlement platforms

+ Is responsible for a list of business and technical requirements that need to be included in product backlog based on industry trends, new technologies, known defects & issues

+ Liaise with technical product manager to help manage prioritization of items in product backlog for ongoing sprints

+ Acts as a SPOC QC checkpoint to validate system upgrades and patches during extended hours and weekends

+ Provide appropriate end-user support and end-user training by creating comprehensive training documents

+ Strictly follow both AmexGBT internal and external audit standards and maintain all project documentation, checklists, and partner approvals/signoffs readily available by coordinating with all project collaborators and Agile team members to support AmexGBT internal and external audit requirements

+ Communicate effectively with collaborators, providing regular updates on project status, changes, issues, risks, and milestones

What We’re Looking For

+ Minimum 10 years of professional IT experience with 5+ years of focused Manager of Product Development experience leading financial applications in Business Travel or Banking Industry

+ Bachelor’s degree in an information technology, computer related field or 5 years of IT work experience in a global information technology infrastructure environment

+ Must be able to work in a team environment with a “can do” attitude capable of overcoming difficult challenges

+ Ability to effectively communicate across third parties, technical and business product managers on solution design

+ Ability to enable business capabilities through innovation

+ Self-motivated, with keen attention to detail and excellent judgment skills

+ Ability to establish new standards for quality, performance or productivity

+ Must have excellent writing and communication skills, strong communicator with ability to maintain open communication with internal employees, contractors, managers, 3rd parties, and customers as needed. Able to prioritize and drive to results with a high emphasis on quality

+ Travel/Banking/Hospitality industry experience is a plus.

+ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure and escalate as required.

+ Proficiency in using project management tools like Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint.

+ Excellent time management skills.

+ Fast learner with the ability to quickly adapt and prioritize focus.

+ Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

+ Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and managing teams.

Location

United States

The US national annual base salary range for this position is from $70,000 to $140,000. The national range provided includes the base salary that GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
