Job Description
The Senior Software Engineer (Java/J2EE) will collaborate with a team and across the organization; take responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience; and be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles. Specifically, the Senior Software Engineer (Java/J2EE) will be responsible for the following:
Responsibility :
+ Designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining products.
+ Taking full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code.
+ Can work with a team of developers in a cross functional environment onshore/ offshore and do hands-on development and testing.
+ Able to code API’s to uploads, download, retrace images from S3 storage in S3 and retrieve files from different sources
+ Creating optimal design adhering to architectural best practices; considering scalability, reliability and
+ performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs.
+ API development in Spring Boot, GraphQL, and Kafka streaming.
+ Able to migrate on-premises Micro service Rest API’s to Serverless API’s Using AWS cloud services
+ Supports engineers in ensuring team follows architectural and development best practices.
+ Responsible for establishing and documenting agreed upon, by all stakeholders, the architectural solution for the end to end architectural design.
+ Ensures security requirements have been addressed, tested, and implemented in applications developed and maintained.
+ Performing work using the following tools and technologies: J2EE, Java, Power Mock, Spring, IntelliJ, Kubernetes/Cloud Foundry, Kafka, Azure, CI/CD Pipelines.
Basic Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
+ Five to six years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
+ Must possess 5 years of experience in each of the following: Writing production-ready, efficient, and scalable code that adheres coding standards.
+ Best practices; troubleshooting and debugging code to identify and resolve issues at various stages of project.
+ Working with the business and functional teams in gathering the system requirements.
+ Developing and implementing process improvements.
+ Experience with Java, springboot, microservices, database (Oracle and My SQL), non-relational DB (Mongo DB), Queueing(kafka stream API's, JMS) jenkins- CI/CD pipelines, Cloud Tech (AWS S3, DynamoDB, SQS, Kinesis).
+ Position is hybrid role.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $132,260.00 - $155,600.00 - $171,160.00
