• Compensation: Up to $20.00/hour, based on experience

• Schedule: Mandatory Rotating Weekends with some schedule flexibility

We’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team of dedicated animal lovers. If you have a passion for patient care and thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting, we’d love to meet you!

What You’ll Do

As a Veterinary Technician at CityVet, you’ll be instrumental in delivering exceptional care to our patients and support to our veterinarians. From exam assistance to client communication, your role helps ensure smooth day-to-day operations and top-notch service from the exam room to the front desk.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Assist veterinarians during exams, administer vaccinations, and educate clients on pet health and home care.

+ Provide nursing care, including catheter placement, and administering medications.

+ Collect lab samples and perform diagnostics as ordered by the DVM.

+ Administer and monitor anesthesia, accurately and safely.

+ Triage urgent care cases and assess patient needs promptly.

+ Support the front desk team with tasks like answering phones and scheduling appointments.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or GED

+ Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience as a veterinary technician

+ Must be 18 years or older

+ Proficiency in animal handling and restraint

+ Familiarity with veterinary medical terminology and medications

+ Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically active tasks (standing, bending, reaching)
