    Summary:

    Responsibilities revolve around converting equipment builders from competitive manufacturers and increasing market equity of Rockwell OEM Solutions. The position involves maintaining and communicating a high level of technical knowledge regarding specification and application of OEM products and solutions.

     

    Reports to: Automation Solutions Group Manager

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + BS/BA in Engineering or equivalent technical education

    + 3-4 years of engineering and product experience

    + Professional communication & presentation skills

    + MS Office Experience

    + Demonstrable Technical Aptitude

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + 3- 4 years of sales experience preferred

    + Rockwell Automation Studio 5000 programming experience

    ADDITIONAL COMPETENCIES:

    + Ability to work independently

    + Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

    + Self-Motivated

    Working Conditions:

    + Required driving could be in excess of 100 miles daily plus sitting, standing and frequently walking up stairs.

    + Requires lifting products and demonstration equipment up to 60 pounds.

    + Work may take place on factory or shop floors. In some cases, the environment may be noisy, hot or dirty.

    Essential Job Functions:

    + Plan, organize, target, and schedule calls with current and prospective OEM customers.

    + Help customers improve their performance by educating them on methodology and solutions to lower their total cost to design, develop, and deliver their machinery.

    + Support division sales staff in the specification and sale of components and automation to equipment builders.

    + Assist customers with conversion from competitive products to Rockwell and Technology Partner Solutions.

    + Provide customers and profit centers with technical support of OEM solutions.

    + Provide engineering, design, and programming support to customers that have committed to converting to Rockwell Automation and Technology Partner Solutions.

    + Leverage technical support opportunities to engage in proactive consultative selling. Maintain a positive relationship with Rockwell Automation and Technology Partners to ensure awareness of new products and procedures.

    + Introduce, demonstrate, and specify new products to customers’ Engineering Departments, Operations and Management.

    + Work with pricing team to communicate competitive pricing levels.

    + Help to create Rockwell Annual Business Plan and participate in regular target sessions.

    + Create and conduct customer commercial plan initiatives and training events.

    + Maintain and internally distribute all reference materials and demonstration equipment relative to assigned products.

    + Develop and conduct assigned tech segment automation training for all sales staff in assigned Profit Centers.

    + Provide customers with appropriate technical literature.

    + Follow-up on all major customer projects and conversions by staying in contact with the customer and tracking progress in our Insight CRM system.

    + Maintain competency in assigned segments by personally completing required Rockwell Automation and CED University training requirements.

    + Advise Profit Center Managers regarding proper inventory mix for assigned Rockwell products.

    + Perform other duties as necessary or assigned.

    Compensation Range:

    The compensation range for this position is $120000 to $150000 annually.
