    Overview

     

    This position is located at WOMACK Army Medical Center, Fayetteville Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

    Responsibilities

    As a Physician Assistant (Orthopedic) your duties will include, but are not limited to:

    + Perform medical screening examinations for obtaining health and medical history from patients.

    + Collaborate with orthopedic physicians in patient management evaluation and revision of therapeutic plans.

    + Diagnose patients within an orthopedic clinic.

    + Assist orthopedic surgeon in the Operating Room with minor surgical procedures.

    + Provide education to patients and their family members of treatment and medical care.

    + Prescribe medication in accordance with approved treatment protocols.

    + Provide comprehensive, professional skilled care of patients seeking orthopedic treatment.

    Qualifications

    US Citizenship Required

     

    All Applicants must be licensed as a Physician Assistant by the recognized licensing agency of a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.

     

    Successful completion of the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) examination; must maintain status as a certified physician assistant, including completion of all requirements for continuing medical education (CME) and re-certification.

     

    At least one year as a physician assistant -ortho experience
