    Our client, a global manufacturer of machines for the pulp and paper industry, is seeking a **Supervisor of Engineering** to join their team. As a Supervisor of Engineering, will manage, lead and coach the engineering team to achieve local site and regional objectives and goals.

     

    This is a great opportunity to join a great, employee-centric organization where you will work closely with the Engineering Manager to lead the engineering department and receive training/mentorship to take over leading the engineering department.

     

    Job Title: Supervisor of Engineering

    Key Responsibilities

    + Motivate and lead direct reports, communicate targets, goals, and expectations to meet site strategy and budget

    + Provide technical recommendations and support, both to internal and external customers

    + Investigate problems and lead in facilitating recommendations for improvements to ensure the highest level of quality throughout product offerings and services provided.

    + Develop and coach team by increasing their roll knowledge, project management, and enhance skill set

    + Manage shop jobs with an emphasis on customer service, inside sales, and revenue generation. (10 to 30 open jobs).

    Requirements

    + Engineering Degree

    + A combination of at least 5 years of related experience in the following industries: Paper & Pulp, Engineering, Service, and/or Machine Shop.

    + Proven leader with previous experience of managing others

    + Data analysis background with high proficiency in excel and experience working with databases.

    + Lean Management, Six Sigma and/or Operational Excellence training preferred
