What we want
The PEP Program Manager is a pivotal leader within the College of Education and Human Development, driving the success of our innovative PEP initiative. This dynamic role involves overseeing project deliverables, spearheading professional development activities, and guiding Program Coordinators funded by the grant. The PEP Program Manager also ensures seamless implementation of the initiative, maintains strict compliance with grant requirements, and fosters collaboration with faculty, staff, and external partners to enhance program success and sustainability.

Note: Work beyond normal office hours and/or weekends may be required. May direct and/or evaluate the work of others. Ability to travel independently to various locations by driving or flying on commercial airlines.
Grant Funded: This position is funded by a federal grant; continued employment is contingent on grant renewal and satisfactory job performance.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
+ Bachelor’s degree in education, human development, or a related field
+ Five years of experience in program or grant management, preferably in an educational setting, including related experience with professional development coordination and/or staff supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Master’s degree in educational administration or a related field from an accredited college or university
+ Experience working with grant-funded programs
+ Familiarity with educator professional development
+ Leadership and/or supervisory experience
+ Bilingual ability in Spanish and English
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Strong organizational, project management, and leadership skills
+ Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
+ Ability to collaborate effectively with various teams and stakeholders
+ Literacy in the English language and ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions
+ Attention to detail and ability to perform accurately in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
+ Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
+ Knowledge of educational program evaluation, compliance, and reporting requirements
+ Ability to develop and deliver professional presentations
+ Skill in designing, developing, conducting, and assessing effective programs for adult learners
Responsibilities
Project and Grant Management:
+ Oversee, plan, organize, and manage the implementation of the PEP grant, ensuring all project objectives and deliverables align with grant guidelines and reporting requirements
+ Develop project timelines, track expenditures, and prepare management reports for institutional leadership
+ Coordinate with faculty, staff, and external partners to facilitate grant activities including outreach, professional development, and stakeholder engagement
+ Identify and address project risks and barriers to ensure successful and timely completion of grant activities
+ Assist in the development and production of project materials
+ Manage PEP support staff and student assistants
Professional Development Coordination, Delivery and Management:
+ Design, implement, and evaluate high-quality professional development (PD) programs aligned with project goals
+ Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure PD content is research-based and aligned with required standards
+ Schedule and manage logistics for PD events, including registration, materials, venues, and technology support
+ Collect feedback and outcome data to inform continuous improvement of PD offerings
Supervision of PEP Program Coordinators:
+ Directly supervise Program Coordinators assigned to the PEP project, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback
+ Delegate responsibilities and monitor the progress of assigned tasks
+ Facilitate regular team meetings, foster collaboration, and support the professional growth of Program Coordinators
Communication and Stakeholder Engagement:
+ Maintain regular communication with internal and external stakeholders to provide project updates and solicit feedback
+ Represent the PEP initiative in meetings, presentations, and professional settings
+ Develop and disseminate program communications, resource materials, and reports to promote transparency and engagement
