Job Description

- Working within the initial stages of proposal development in the Office of Research and Engagement at UNCG.

- Collaborating with other faculty and departments, educating them on different grants, and encouraging them to apply for research funding.

- Leading programming, training, and mini-courses on grant writing and working with agencies.

- Creating and delivering presentations to PIs and other faculty members on campus.

- Writing and editing proposals to ensure they are accurate.

- Partnering with external agencies responsible for crafting proposals.

- Handing over proposals to the Office of Sponsored Programs for submission.

Skills and Requirements

- PHD or masters degree with relevant research admin experience

- 3-5 years of experience working within research development in higher education, federal gov, state gov, or a non-profit

- Experience with proposal development, pre award grants processes, and grant admin processes

- Experience helping clients, faculty, or other individuals find grant funding for research projects

- Experience educating individuals on the grant process

- Excellent customer service experience - Experience writing grants and winning awards in higher education, federal gov, state gov, or a non-profit

- Hands-on research experience null
