Who Are We
The Earth Elements Stone Fabrication Shop is a state-of-the-art digital stone fabrication shop. Serving the Bozeman and Big Sky Area. With 20,000 square feet and multiple digital machines, we are the largest operator in the area. Our Stone Fabrication Shop serves the Design Center next door. This is an excellent opportunity for the successful applicant to join this fast-growing company. Earth Elements Design Center supplies high-end custom home interior finishes to the building industry. We are a complete one-stop shop with Appliances, Cabinetry, Doors and Door Hardware, Lighting, Slab, Tile, and Wood Flooring.
The Job
+ The Programmer position is responsible for programming the machines to cut and mill engineered and natural stone, assist machine operators with maintenance, and provide support to the Engineering, Fabrication, and Install departments.
+ Attend daily meetings for introduction of new projects, review drawings and instructions for fabrication,
+ Review timelines and machine schedules to meet overall timelines.
+ Review slab quality and ensure the cutting plan avoids defects and maximizes material utilization.
+ Complete a thorough layout process at Saw.
+ Plan material staging with the Shop Managers.
+ Plan re-finish of slabs as necessary and document through the Project Engineer.
+ Plan programming procedures and update daily schedules for Machine Operators.
+ Planning, instructing and delegating peripheral duties in coordination with the Fabrication Manager and Machine Manager (lamming 4cm and 6 cm pieces; miter lamination and build up).
+ Ensure materials are being consumed in the operating software.
+ Manage the programming and operation of machines for efficient execution of the schedule.
+ Coordinate with the Machine Manager to ensure all parts are cut and milled on the Titan and Fusion to specifications.
+ Assist in the operation and maintenance of machinery, as needed.
+ All parts and pieces are accounted for, checked for accuracy and quality once off machines, finished to dimensions of template or paperwork, and quality of finished products finish through tooling management practices.
+ Assist with paperwork and Install instructions to be laid out for all parts moving downstream.
+ The successful candidate has the following competencies: Communication Proficiency, Computer Proficiency/Technical Capacity, Detail Oriented, Time Management, Quality Focus, and Supply Management.
+ This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
+ This job operates in an office environment with some outside exposure during the day. This role routinely uses equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters, heavy machinery (i.e. forklifts).
+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 75 lbs., frequently move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs., and use of heavy machinery for equipment up to 1,000 lbs.
+ This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday; 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with additional hours and schedule changes as needed for business purposes.
+ Travel is primarily local, up to 2 hour driving distance during the business day may be expected on a rare basis.
Requirements
+ A high school diploma or equivalent, required
+ 2-3 years of experience with Stone Fabrication and Machinery, required
+ 21 years of age per DOT regulations
+ Valid Drivers’ License and clean driving record, able to meet insurability qualifications
