Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Construction Inspector for a large engineering consulting firm in Seattle, WA. This individual will Perform daily inspection of construction projects monitoring quality and adherence to building code requirements, construction drawings and project specifications. Inspections may cross multiple inspection disciplines or within a specified area of expertise including structural steel, concrete, masonry, fireproofing, etc. (emphasis will be on structural steel bolting and welding) Inspection may include visual/physical inspection and field testing to verify conformance with the plans and specifications. This person will also be responsible for preparing inspection reports and providing written documentation of observations and testing of materials. They will communicate findings to engineer or project manager and when requested collaborate with the project team on solutions to potential issues. On average, this individual can expect to perform inspections on 1-3 sites per day.

Skills and Requirements

GED or High School Diploma

Valid Drivers License with acceptable violation history

3+ years of experience

CWI (Certified Welding Inspector)

WABO certified - ICC structural steel bolting AND welding

UTultrasonic testing - level II ANST Level II ANST is the agency it comes from. Certifications:

o ICC Certification (reinforced concrete, spray-applied fireproofing, structural masonry, prestressed/post-tensioned concrete, Structural Steel Bolting, Structural Steel Welding).

o AWS (American Welding Society)

o ACI Certification (American Concrete Institute) Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I, Concrete Strength Testing Technician Grade I, etc.)

MEP background/knowledge (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) null
