    Job Description

    Were looking for an Associate Project Manager to manage the successful initiation, planning,

     

    design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure of a projects lead by the development/engineering team.

     

    This resource will manage/coordinate live events at the Studio Lot in Burbank. Examples include:

     

    - Stage/host movie premier

     

    - Employee Events

     

    - Town Hall

     

    They will work closely with various studio production groups, as well, the union/trades.

     

    This position will report to the Sr Manager of Program Management in the Studio Technology Insights and Operations team.

    Responsibilities:

    - Lead 1 to 3 concurrent technology initiatives with small to moderate complexity throughout

     

    their lifecycle and serve as main stakeholder contact. This includes project intake, use case definition, charter and scope definition, project plan development, capacity allocations, resource assignment, project execution, and post mortems.

     

    - Manage the intake, documentation, and coordination of project/task requests from clients

     

    all across the Studio through multiple methods of communication (i.e., calls, direct requests, emails, ticket).

     

    - Coordinate with other project/resource managers to assign resources to projects/tasks.

     

    Assist with prioritizing tasks and availability of those resources.

     

    - Responsible for gathering and updating projects data, status, requirements, documentation, and artifacts.

     

    - Responsible for day-to-day project management functions such as meeting notes, action item follow-ups, and project communications.

     

    - Support sprint ceremonies, including planning, daily standups, reviews, retrospectives, and reporting. Learn project KPIs and understand dashboards.

     

    - Work with the stakeholders/clients office to determine availability and schedule resources for install/fix/build.

     

    - Work with Finance and other team members to determine who project/request should be billed to.

     

    - Work with engineers to determine how many hours a project/request is estimated to take

     

    and validate how many hours it took to complete.

    Skills and Requirements

    - Experience with project management & communication tools (e.g., Smartsheet, JIRA,

     

    Teams)

     

    - Local/onsite in Burbank 4 days week

     

    - Experience in managing live events, ideally in the studio/film industry within enterprise environment

     

    - Must be able to manage multiple projects and operational tasks

     

    - Strong communication: written/oral

     

    - Strong ticketing experience ideally with Jira

     

    - Must be familiar and have exposure to working in high volume fast paced environments.

     

    - Bachelors degree in Science or Engineering, or related technical discipline - Studio/Film industry experience

     

    - PMO experience

    - Worked with the trades/unions null
