    JOB TITLE: Yard Worker – Hardware Store

     

    JOB LOCATION: Springvilee, UT

     

    REPORTING TO: Retail Supervisor

     

    FUNCTION: Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers in locating products and help customers solve home improvement issues with the right product and solutions.

    KEY ACTIVITIES:

    + Visualize, fulfill, and implement the company vision and core values.

    + Provide high-quality customer service, demonstrating concern and patience in all customer interactions.

    + Assist in unloading delivery vehicles and operating basic pallet jacks and hand trucks.

    + Assist in loading products in customer’s vehicles.

    + Assemble products sold in the store: wheelbarrows, grills, etc.

    + Maintain a positive, motivated attitude in the workplace.

    + Accurately and efficiently process customer transactions as needed.

    + Perform inventory counts and maintain price tags as needed.

    + Stock and replenish displays and shelves.

    + Loading and unloading rental equipment.

    + Process payments for rental customers.

    + Maintain a clean and professional working environment.

    + Attend and participate in all Company sponsored training programs as required.

    + Adhere to all safety protocols and Company policies and procedures.

    + Perform any other duties, responsibilities or tasks as assigned.

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

    + Maintain product knowledge on items carried in the store.

    + Professional communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.

    + Basic math and measurement skills.

    + Basic computer navigation skills.

    + Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks.

    + Provide regular and predictable attendance.

    + Demonstrate initiative and reliability with minimal supervision.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

    + Prior retail experience a plus.

    + Must be at least 18 years of age.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    + Physical Work - Medium: exerting up to 50 lbs. of force regularly.

    + Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc.

    + Repetitive motion associated with operating retail equipment.

    + Frequent bending, standing for extended periods, and lifting required.

    + Ability to communicate with customers and team members verbally.
