Job Description: The Material Handler/ Forklift Operator operates the equipped industrial forklift to move materials in the warehouse region and to load and unload truck trailers and move product in warehouse. The Material Handler/ Forklift Operator will also maintain the equipment, machines, and electrical components. Duties and Responsibilities: * Move controls, devices, and levers to drive forklifts of industry to transfer materials between unloading, processing, loading, and storage areas. * Organizing and securing stored materials such as boxes, pallets, etc. * Loading or unloading of materials manually, off or on to pallets, platforms, skids, or lifting devices. * Report any damage to faulty equipment or any other safety hazards to the supervisor. * Weigh products or materials and record the weight and further production information on label and tags. * Complete forklift operator training. * Perform other duties as allotted by supervisor. * Load and unload trucks. * Move and stack materials * Keep production lines supplied with empty containers and packaging materials as needed. * Rotate floor stock. * General housekeeping duties in the warehouse or production area and duties as assigned. * Follow good warehousing practices. * Use common warehouse management software. * Receive/process shipments. * Perform proper forklift inspections and follow forklift operating guideline and procedures.
