    What You'll Do

     

    Dermalogica is in search of a detail-oriented, organized, enthusiastic, and diligent **Sales Operations/National Account Intern** . This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to gain hands-on experience in sales operations. This position reports to the Sales Operations Manager and supports our Ulta, Domestic Distributor, Medi, and Sales Operations teams to ensure the appropriate objectives and priorities are facilitated.

     

    This is a part-time, paid internship.

     

    The Sales Operations / National Account Intern reports to the Associate Director - Sales Operations and provides administrative support to the U.S. Sales Team.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

     

    Time within this role is split approximately 25%/75% between Sales Operations and National Accounts (SalonCentric/Distributor/Medi).

     

    + **Sales Operations (-Core-):**

    + Monitor the Business.Sales mailbox to connect leads with Business Consultants (BCs)

    + Prepare Lead Trax files (excel export, mail merge, and UPS label file) for Prospect Package fulfillment

    + Issue call tags, process PCVs (Product Credit Vouchers), and verify received inventory for buybacks

    + Collaborate with IT to create eBlasts informing accounts of updates on new, departing, or LOA (leave of absence) BCs

    + Prepare the monthly UPS Address Correction Fee report: consolidate, review, and submit corrections through Pepperi

    + Create business card orders, including interdepartmental requests

    + Issue manual Derm Dollars and PCV requests as needed

    + Maintain the UPC file and Top 27 product list

    + Provide Pepperi (Order Entry & CRM system) support: update account and contact information, including address corrections, new door setup, and notifying finance of discrepancies

    + **SalonCentric/Distributor/Medi:**

    + Prepare mass shipments, including tradeshow and PR build support

    + Provide general administrative and event support, including calling retailers to provide event details

    + Support sample and product distribution for market meetings and PR activations

    + Coordinate the shipping and return of event materials for accounts and education events

    + Ship gratis (free) products and gifts with purchase (GWPs) to event participants as needed

    + Input students into the class registry system for Salon Services

    + Coordinate with the Visual Merchandising (VM) team via Wrike platform to request and upload visual assets for major retail accounts

    + Update account order forms and price lists according to product mark-up

    + **Both Channels:**

    + Assist with placing orders in internal and external systems (e.g., Uline, Pepperi)

    + Process purchase requests, purchase orders (POs), and invoices in Concur

    + Assist with sales meeting planning and provide event support

    + Perform additional duties as assigned

     

    What You'll Bring

    Key Qualifications:

    + High School Diploma **required**

    + Experience working in an administrative capacity **_preferred_**

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills

    + Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

    + Basic math aptitude **required**

    + Retail sales background **_a plus_**

    + Experience or knowledge in the skin care industry and of Dermalogica products **_a plus_**

    Key Skills and Abilities:

    + Strong administrative and technical aptitude, with the ability to learn new software quickly (experience with Pepperi and Wrike is a plus)

    + Excellent organizational and follow-up skills; able to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines

    + Comfortable working independently with minimal direction and maintaining a high degree of accuracy

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills

    + Advanced beginner level in Microsoft Excel and proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook

    + Familiarity with PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint is a plus

    + Good math aptitude

    + Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

    + Self-motivated and eager to expand knowledge and skills through independent learning

    + Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities

    + Adheres to punctuality, attendance, and dress code standards

    + Consistently meets or exceeds performance expectations

    + Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs occasionally

    + Ability to stand for extended periods (3-4 hours) during event support

    + Passion for the skincare industry is a plus

    **The expected base hourly pay rate is $18.50.** The exact base pay rate is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget.
