    A Snapshot of Your Day

     

    The successful candidate will work within the Compressor Component products manufacturing area within Siemens Energy Gas Turbine products division. Success is dependent upon flexibility in working urgent priorities and effectively completing daily work assignments day to day.

     

    The primary purpose of this position is to be skilled in use of manual SMAW, GTAW, GMAW welding processes. Welding of carbon and stainless steel will be required. Experience in welding Inconel is a plus.

     

    How You’ll Make an Impact

    Work from manufacturing information, drawings, written and/or verbal instructions and perform such operations as:

    • Using material handling devices, loads/unloads parts from equipment and/or assists crane operator.

    • Set up welding positioners with fixtures, adjusting to proper settings, secure hardware, etc., per job documentation and drawing specifications.

    • Follow established assembly and welding procedures on lineups, standard work instructions and set up sheets also Complete log sheet, downtime records, and other information, as required by data collection system.

    • Perform in process Non Destructive Testing on welds and any necessary repairs to meet quality standards.

    • Complete in process charting of operational information and/or recording data as required.

    • Prep work piece for inspections and Deburr and cleans work, as required.

    What You Bring

    • Basic knowledge in the use of shop mathematics, together with the use of drawings, specifications, charts, tables, various types of hand tools and/or the training generally applicable in a particular or specialized occupation.

    • HS Diploma or GED Required

    • Applicants must have a minimum of 1-3 years of experience and applicable trades training/ certification and be able to pass a 6G welding certification, standard hearing, vision, and PFT tests.

    • Must qualify for and maintain appropriate equipment certifications of Siemens Energy (i.e. Fork truck, crane, etc.). Career Readiness/Work Keys Certificate – Silver Status required.

    • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
