"THIS IS AN INTERNAL POSTING FOR CURRENT EMPLOYEES AT CECIL COLLEGE" GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is responsible for all aspects of the MAP program, including but not limited to: ESSENTIAL DUTIES * Administration, organization, and supervision of the MAP program. * Continuous quality review and improvement of the MAP program; and Academic oversight, curriculum planning, and development, full-time teaching in the health care programs, and evaluation of program outcomes. * Ensures compliance with all institutional, state, and national accreditation requirements. Keep advised of current trends in Health Care and develop new programming to address regional needs. * Adhere to and support all Cecil College policies. * Recruit students and coordinate the registration and onboarding of course enrollment. Coordinate clinical/externship placements and ensure proper supervision and documentation. * Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Health Care Programs on updating clinical memorandum of agreement and partnerships and student material from the College. * Represent the college at institutional and community events * Collaborates with advisory boards to align program goals with employer needs. * Order the required learning material for students in the MAP, phlebotomy, MA, and coding programs. * Teach courses in each of the programs and provide oversight and mentoring to adjunct faculty. * Perform other related duties as assigned. Due to the need for interaction with students, employees, and the college community, this position requires in-person presence. This position is eligible for telework REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor's degree. Will consider an associate degree with appropriate experience. Be credentialed in good standing in medical assisting and experience in health care environment required. Experience: 3-5 years of progressive, professional, experience. 5-7 years of progressive, professional and managerial experience required for associate degree. Teaching and program development experience in higher education, preferred. Experience in working with various funding agencies. Experience and knowledge of Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) requirements and reporting is preferred. Skills/Training: Must have excellent interpersonal, written and oral skills. Proficiencies: Aptitude in technology use such as but not limited to: Microsoft Office; e-mail; Canvas ®; Powerpoint ®; and various forms of social media. Proficiency in budget preparation and analysis preferred. Scheduling Requirements: The schedule may vary according to program needs, including evenings and weekends. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Physical Demands: This position classifies the physical exertion requirements as sedentary work involving lifting no more than 10 pounds at a time and occasionally lifting or carrying articles like docket files, ledgers, and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required occasionally, and other sedentary criteria are met. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as office or meeting and training rooms, e.g., use of safe workplace practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire and building safety regulations and traffic signals when driving.
