Job Title: Marketing Analyst

Department: Marketing

**Position Summary** : The Marketing Analyst leads the support of key Marketing projects and initiatives that are essential to achieving short- and long-term business objectives. Use an in-depth knowledge of retail strategy and category marketing to play a key role in consulting marketing business owners on major decisions and providing facts and models that support those decisions. Additionally, this role aids the Sr. MCoE Product Manager and the Sr. Marketing Analyst in the development of assortment and vendor products.

Principal Duties

+ Key representative for the MCoE on long term marketing projects and initiatives, including but not limited to:

+ Launch of dinner, and enablement of beverage destination.

+ Integration into Ecommerce model.

+ Major future Marketing initiatives in support of the Long Range Plan.

+ Support Sr. MCoE Product Manager in development of key products and processes through proficiency in analytics/statistical modeling approaches and in-depth knowledge of the Wawa business model.

+ Provide analytical thought leadership on complicated marketing strategic problems and convey solutions to upper management through clear communication and strong presentation skills.

+ Support planner group on key category initiatives through development of approach, evaluation of business cases, and incorporation of additional data sets such as syndicated, basket and customer level transaction data.

+ Provide guidance to Category teams and upper management on analytics related to improving performance on marketing activities.

+ Identify industry trends. Perform competitive analysis and financial benchmarks.

+ Develop category requirements and identify needs when developing and enhancing information systems.

+ Audit databases (SAP ERP, JDA Assortment and Space Planning) to ensure accuracy of cost, retail, unit of measures and hierarchies.

Basic Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree with Data/Analytics concentration preferred

+ 3 to 5 years’ experience in business analysis, preferably in consumer goods or foodservice setting

+ Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

+ BI experience required (such as SQL, MicroStrategy, PowerBI, Tableau)

+ Conceptual ability to develop robust analytical models

+ Ability to use statistical techniques such as regression analysis

+ Experience developing hierarchies and classifications for databases
