• Staff Accountant

    Robert Half Finance & Accounting (Las Vegas, NV)


    Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this role, you will manage various accounting processes and contribute to the financial health of a growing retail business.     Responsibilities:

    • Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

    • Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.

    • Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.

    • Assist with month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

    • Maintain and analyze the general ledger to support financial reporting.

    • Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP to manage financial data.

    • Collaborate with internal teams to support financial audits and compliance efforts.

    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency.

    • Provide support for financial analysis and reporting as needed. Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

    + 1-2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-unit retail environment

    + Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting

    + Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar) and Excel

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

    + Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams

    + Experience with inventory accounting and POS systems is a plus
