    Job Description Summary

    As a System Simulation Fleet Support Engineer, you will work alongside experienced engineers to support fleet-related investigations and improve wind turbine performance. In this role, you will receive guidance and mentorship as you develop technical skills and contribute to solving real-world engineering challenges.

    Job Description

    Essential Responsibilities

    + Assist in executing wind turbine load simulations to support root cause investigations (RCAs) for fleet-related issues.

    + Work with experienced engineers to develop and maintain technical frameworks for RCA activities, ensuring consistent strategies from project start to completion.

    + Support the creation and adaptation of wind turbine models to analyze and resolve field problems.

    + Help analyze field data to assess potential turbine loading issues and support safety-related cases.

    + Prepare for design reviews and present results in front of Controlled Title Holders

    + Capture lessons learned from field experiences and communicate back to design

    + Collaborate on programming tasks, including developing new tools and enhancing existing ones for load and turbine operation analysis.

    Required Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Structural, Wind, Systems or Aerospace Engineering from accredited university (or equivalent)

    Desired Characteristics

    + Basic understanding of structural dynamics, mechanical systems, or wind turbine operation.

    + Familiarity with engineering simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python, Simulink, or similar) and aeroelastic simulations for wind turbines using tools like FAST, Flex, Bladed, or Simpack.

    + Ability to analyze technical data and contribute to troubleshooting efforts.

    + Basic knowledge of programming or scripting for data analysis and tool development

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and collaboration.

    + Ability to work in a team environment and support cross-functional investigations.
