    Job Description Summary

    GE Power Portfolio Power Conversion Division provides Electrical power conversion systems for various Naval, Marine and Cruise Lines. Typical scope includes the system engineering and supply of MV & LV power electronics, switchboards, automation, dynamic positioning, motors and transformers.

     

    The Graduate Engineer role is intended for the Fresh Graduates who are looking to build their career in the Customer site and Field Services.

    Job Description

    Essential Responsibilities

    + Rotational orientation into the engineering/service/manufacturing organizations.

    + Support the:

    + Engineering team and Learn the Engineering Tools and Process.

    + Develop the skills in GE P80i control software for variable speed drives.

    + Develop the skill in software for automation projects.

    + Testing of the GE drives and Automation systems

    + Manufacturing of equipment in a factory environment.

    + Ready to travel 85% time for project/Training requirements.

    + Ensure that safety is a continuous value that is promoted both personally and in Customer site and GE Facility.

    + Work in the Marine Segment

    Required Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics, or mechatronics engineering

    + Ability and willingness to travel up to 85% of the time

    + Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder

    + Must be willing to relocate to our office in Pittsburgh, PA.

    + Strong emphasis on programming.

    + US Citizen with the ability to achieve security clearance for Department of Defense projects.

    + Adept at computer skills and prepared to learn the same.

    + Excellent relationship skills.

    + Displays strong interpersonal skills and is accessible and approachable.

    + Sense of ownership for assigned responsibilities

    + Highly motivated and curious individual that’s not afraid to show initiative
