KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Finance & Capital Structure
• Lead long-term financial forecasting and scenario modeling in alignment with strategic planning efforts
• Oversee all aspects of capital structure, including banking relationships, credit facilities, and investment strategy
• Provide financial analysis and support for mergers, acquisitions, land transactions, and major capital investments Risk Management & Insurance Oversight
• Direct all insurance activities
• Manage risk exposure across the enterprise through proactive planning, insurance coverage, and compliance protocols
• Investigate and evaluate the potential formation of a Single Parent Captive for insurance optimization Governance, Tax & Legal Coordination
• Oversee all matters related to corporate governance and trust administration
• Coordinate with outside legal counsel on financing, real estate, and M& A transactions
• Serve as the primary liaison to external CPAs for corporate and beneficiary trust tax planning and return preparation Operations & Leadership
• Participate as a strategic member of the Operational Executive Team, contributing as needed based on the lifecycle stage and needs of the business
• Lead and develop the Accounting team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls
• Oversee IT operations and systems strategy to ensure security, scalability, and data availability in alignment with business needs
Requirements • Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role, preferably in agribusiness or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of financial management, including budgeting, auditing, and capital management.
• Expertise in accounting software systems, CRM tools, and business systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead financial strategy for a complex organization.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Experience managing cash flow analysis and optimizing financial performance.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of an organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; advanced degree or CPA certification is highly desirable.
