Description

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Mt. Joy, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will manage essential accounting functions to ensure the accuracy of financial records and compliance with established standards. This is an on-site position ideal for a candidate who thrives in a collaborative and structured environment.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Prepare comprehensive financial reports for management review.

• Reconcile accounts, including bank statements, to identify and resolve discrepancies.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently.

• Assist in payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

• Analyze financial data to support decision-making and strategic planning.

• Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger.

• Support month-end closing activities to meet reporting deadlines.

• Utilize QuickBooks Desktop and Microsoft Excel to perform accounting tasks effectively.

Requirements • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Desktop.

• Skilled in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.

• Competence in reconciling accounts and preparing accurate financial statements.

• Excellent analytical skills to interpret financial data.

• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.

• Degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
