Description

Are you a forward-thinking accounting professional with deep experience in manufacturing environments? Our client in Escondido is searching for a Senior Accountant to take ownership of critical financial tasks and drive operational excellence. This role is ideal for an analytical, detail-oriented person who thrives in fast-moving, operations-focused industries.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare and post journal entries for inventory, cost of goods sold (COGS), and production-related expenses.

+ Lead the month-end close process with account reconciliations and create detailed financial reports for management.

+ Maintain fixed asset accounting, tracking depreciation schedules and capital expenditures.

+ Work closely with operations teams to analyze manufacturing costs and allocate expenses effectively.

+ Assist in implementing new ERP system processes to enhance reporting and efficiency.

+ Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA preferred.

+ Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in manufacturing environments.

+ Proficiency with ERP systems, such as SAP or Oracle, and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).

+ Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

+ Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
