Description We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Accounting Manager to lead and oversee the operations of our accounting team in Ashland, Virginia. This role involves managing financial processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and mentor a team of accounting staff, providing guidance and fostering growth.

• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements, reconciliations, and compliance reporting.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, identifying opportunities to enhance service offerings.

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and tax preparation.

• Implement and optimize processes to improve operational efficiency and accuracy.

• Stay updated on new accounting standards, technologies, and best practices to introduce innovative solutions.

• Manage operating budgets for client engagements and prepare financial reports for stakeholders.

• Lead recruitment efforts and onboard new team members to support the growth of the firm.

• Represent the company at industry events and contribute to its reputation in the field. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• At least 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.

• Strong knowledge of compliance reporting, financial statement preparation, and technical accounting principles.

• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Lacerte Tax Software.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team and client collaboration.

• Proven leadership abilities, including mentoring and managing teams.

• CPA certification required; additional certifications are a plus.

• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
