Description We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Compensation & Benefits Specialist to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in managing payroll processes and benefits administration across multiple states. You will play a critical role in ensuring compliance, accuracy, and a seamless employee experience while collaborating with both HR and accounting leadership.
Responsibilities:
• Process biweekly payroll for approximately 110 employees across multiple states, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state laws.
• Handle off-cycle payroll runs as needed, such as for bonuses and commissions.
• Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment and ongoing support.
• Coordinate the annual open enrollment process and assist with year-end payroll and benefits activities.
• Track merit increases, bonus calculations, and fiscal year-end adjustments.
• Provide employees with clear guidance on their pay, benefits, and 401(k) options to enhance their overall experience.
• Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to identify and implement process improvements.
• Utilize systems like Paylocity and Employee Navigator effectively to manage payroll and benefits data.
• Ensure compliance with all payroll and benefits regulations while maintaining strict confidentiality of employee information. Requirements • A minimum of 3-5 years of payroll experience, preferably with multi-state payroll exposure.
• Strong understanding of payroll processes and the ability to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Proficiency in using payroll and benefits systems such as Paylocity and Employee Navigator.
• Demonstrated experience in benefits administration, including open enrollment and employee support.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Strong communication skills to explain payroll and benefits details clearly to employees.
• Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
