Description We are looking for a skilled Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the efficiency of revenue cycle processes by managing insurance verifications, coding, and third-party billing for a primary care practice. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and has a strong background in medical billing and coding, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all billing operations.

Responsibilities:

• Verify patient insurance coverage, eligibility, and secure prior authorizations as needed.

• Review and confirm the accuracy of medical coding to ensure proper charge capture.

• Coordinate with third-party vendors to manage claims submissions, address denials, and process payments.

• Monitor patient billing statements and resolve any inquiries or disputes efficiently.

• Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) while recommending and implementing process improvements.

• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems and billing software to streamline workflows.

• Handle accounts receivable tasks, including tracking outstanding payments and initiating follow-ups.

• Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with all billing regulations and guidelines.

• Identify trends in billing issues and provide actionable solutions to enhance performance. Requirements • High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree is a plus.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance verification and medical billing.

• Certification in medical coding; experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) preferred.

• Proficiency in medical billing and coding systems, including ICD-10 and CPT.

• Familiarity with EHR systems and billing tools such as Allscripts, Cerner, and DDE.

• Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes, appeals, and claims management.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
