Description Established family office is looking for an experienced Accounting Clerk to add to their tenured team. The primary responsibility of this accounting clerk is to perform duties within the accounting department, including filing, accounts payable processing, customer billing, payment processing, and accounts
receivable collections.
Core Responsibilities:
• Filing and record keeping of accounting, organization, and investment documents.
• Daily posting of customer payments and business receipts.
• Provide weekly collection updates to management.
• Responsible for entering vendor invoices into computer system, checking that payments have been authorized and processing checks.
• Reconciliation of bank and credit card statements.
• Ability to reconcile vendor statements to invoices that are posted and authorized for payment, along with reconciling accounts on the schedule that cannot be verified by a vendor statement or invoice.
• Maintain authorized vendor list, accounts payable reports, files and spreadsheets.
• Assist in providing management with revenue and expense estimates for cash flow
purposes.
• Communicate with vendors or customers as needed and answer all inquiries.
• Responsible for printing checks, obtaining signatures, and distributing checks.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of accounting or clerical role experience
• Associate’s degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent experience
• Exposure to oil and gas is preferred, not required.

• Familiarity with oil and gas industry practices is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in account reconciliation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes.
• Strong skills in data entry, billing, and invoice processing.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel for accounting purposes.
• Knowledge of Sage software is a plus.
• Understanding of joint interest billing (JIB) and oil and gas joint venture reporting is highly desirable.
