Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Gary, Indiana. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing key financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in accounting processes. Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and union payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate execution.

• Prepare and review invoices, lien waivers, expense reports, and facilitate invoice approvals.

• Serve as a backup for processing union payroll and generating related reports when required.

• Maintain organized financial records and assist in month-end close activities, including account reconciliations.

• Utilize spreadsheets to track and report financial data effectively.

• Coordinate with team members to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to strict deadlines.

• Foster effective communication by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

• Leverage software tools such as Microsoft Office Suite and Vista Viewpoint to perform daily tasks efficiently.

Salary Range-$50,000 - $70,000

Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll management.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; familiarity with Vista Viewpoint software is a plus.

• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, high-energy environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience with financial tracking, reporting, and data entry.

• Knowledge of month-end close processes, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.

• Self-motivated and capable of working under tight deadlines across multiple projects.
