Description

We are in search of an Accountant/CPA/Analyst to join our team in the retail industry. Based in the Hamptons, New York, this role will primarily involve maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with budget and close processes, conducting internal audits, and maintaining accounts payable documentation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of accounts payable and receivable

• Conduct regular ledger processes and reconciliations

• Assist with the month-end closing process, ensuring accuracy

• Maintain and update financial records and reports

• Prepare and post journal entries as required

• Maintain documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury and conduct periodic audits

Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the role of Staff Accountant

Must have a CPA and be able to commute to the Hamptons area

• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management.

• Demonstrated experience with Bank Reconciliations.

• Proficient in the use and management of General Ledger.

• Experience in creating and managing Journal Entries.

• Familiarity with the Month End Close process.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial data analysis and reporting.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Must possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and also collaborate effectively with a team.

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
