Description
Robert Half is seeking a Communications & Web Content Manager on behalf of our client. This hybrid role combines strategic communications planning with hands-on web content development and publishing. The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator and writer with a background in managing content across web and digital platforms, experienced in both day-to-day content updates and long-term communications strategies that boost brand visibility and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Communications & Public Relations
+ Plan and execute integrated communications strategies to support organizational goals and increase visibility across target audiences.
+ Develop and manage messaging related to programs, fundraising campaigns, publications, events, and organizational milestones.
+ Draft and distribute press releases, newsletters, and marketing collateral.
+ Serve as a brand steward—ensuring consistency in messaging, tone, and visual presentation across all communications.
+ Measure and report on communications performance and audience engagement through analytics.
Web & Digital Content Management
+ Write, edit, and manage website content using WordPress CMS to ensure accurate, timely, and engaging updates.
+ Maintain webpages and microsites in line with brand guidelines and SEO best practices.
+ Coordinate with internal departments, vendors, and technical teams to gather, create, and publish content.
+ Monitor and maintain online content, proactively identifying outdated or inaccurate information.
+ Use tools like GatherContent, Adobe Photoshop, and Google Analytics to support the content lifecycle.
+ Oversee social media content in coordination with broader communication plans.
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience:
+ Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field.
+ 5+ years of relevant experience in digital communications, website content, or public relations.
+ Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with knowledge of AP Style and in-house style guides.
+ Experience using WordPress CMS and Adobe Photoshop.
+ Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
+ Knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, and digital engagement strategies.
+ Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
+ Experience working with development, program, and marketing teams to create unified messaging.
Preferred:
+ Master’s degree in communications, marketing, or public administration (preferred but not required).
+ Familiarity with managing media lists and relationships.
+ Experience in nonprofit, education, or mission-driven environments is a plus.
