Senior Accountant – Manufacturing/Distribution Industry

As the Sr. Accountant you will:

+ Oversee month-end close activities, including account reconciliations, general ledger maintenance and journal entries.

+ Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

+ Perform inventory accounting, ensuring accuracy in valuation and reporting.

+ Assist in budget preparation and forecasting to aid strategic decision-making.

+ Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to management.

+ Lead or assist with systems conversions to align the organization with modernized tools and platforms.

+ Design and implement process improvements to streamline financial operations.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA is a plus.

+ Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting roles, with a focus in manufacturing or distribution industries.

+ Expertise in inventory management and financial reporting.

+ Previous experience in systems integration/conversion initiatives.

+ Strong skills in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas).

+ Proven ability to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvement strategies.

+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
