Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Accounting Manager to lead and oversee financial operations in St. Charles, Illinois. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with a strong background in public and corporate accounting who thrives in a leadership position. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with accounting standards while mentoring a high-performing team.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.

• Lead a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.

• Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with GAAP and organizational standards.

• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure regulatory compliance and accurate reporting.

• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational effectiveness.

• Monitor and analyze financial data, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.

• Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy.

• Manage the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.

• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field is required.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

• CPA designation is highly preferred.

• Experience in both public accounting and corporate environments is ideal.

• Proven ability to lead and develop a team of accounting professionals.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in financial systems and tools, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
