    Description

    We are looking for a motivated Entry-Level Accountant to join a dynamic non-profit organization based in Trenton, NJ. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations while gaining valuable experience in the field. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their career or an early-career candidate eager to grow their accounting expertise.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform general ledger reconciliations and prepare journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.

    • Generate and review financial reports to ensure data integrity and compliance.

    • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely completion.

    • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with precision and efficiency.

    • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.

    • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements in all financial procedures.

    • Collaborate with the finance team on special projects and initiatives as needed.

    • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation for easy access and review.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP or NetSuite.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address financial challenges.

    • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks.

    • Effective communication and organizational skills to work collaboratively within a team.

    • Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

    • Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
