Description We are looking for a dedicated Human Resources (HR) Manager to oversee and enhance our HR operations in Portland, Tennessee. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive work environment, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and regulations. This role is central to maintaining an effective workforce and supporting organizational objectives.
Responsibilities:
• Update and maintain job descriptions and requirements to ensure alignment with organizational needs.
• Develop and manage recruitment processes, including testing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
• Advise managers on selecting the best candidates to meet team and company goals.
• Process and oversee new employee orientation, termination procedures, and benefits enrollment.
• Administer and manage employee benefits programs, ensuring employees are informed of their options.
• Train managers on coaching, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions to maintain effective workforce management.
• Address employee grievances and mediate conflicts between employees and supervisors as needed.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state HR regulations through monitoring, record-keeping, and investigations.
• Process payroll, track employee attendance, and manage timecard submissions.
• Prepare and submit employee census data for insurance, 401(k), and other reporting requirements. Requirements • Proven experience in human resources management, including recruitment and benefits administration.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for employee relations and conflict resolution.
• Ability to manage payroll processes and maintain accurate records.
• Demonstrated expertise in training managers and employees on HR-related topics.
• Proficiency in handling sensitive employee information with confidentiality.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple HR functions effectively.
• Familiarity with employee benefit programs and associated reporting requirements.
