Description We are looking for a skilled WordPress Content Developer to join our team in Metairie, Louisiana. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to work on both creative and technical aspects of web development. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing and building user-friendly websites while ensuring high levels of functionality and visual appeal. You will collaborate with a small, dynamic team in a startup environment, contributing to the growth and evolution of our digital platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop custom WordPress websites, ensuring they are visually appealing and fully functional.

• Migrate existing websites to new WordPress platforms, maintaining data integrity and usability.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to create clean and effective designs based on Figma prototypes.

• Implement front-end and back-end development tasks, including JavaScript programming and server setup.

• Optimize website performance by troubleshooting issues and implementing improvements.

• Ensure responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility for all web projects.

• Incorporate user feedback to refine designs and enhance user experience.

• Develop and integrate graphics and multimedia elements as needed, focusing on a cohesive visual style.

• Maintain and update website content to keep it relevant and engaging.

• Work closely with team members to align web projects with business goals and timelines. Requirements • Proven experience in WordPress development, including custom themes and plugins.

• Strong understanding of web development principles, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Familiarity with design tools such as Figma to translate mockups into functional websites.

• Basic graphic design skills to create clean and precise layouts.

• Experience with website migrations and server setup.

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.

• Knowledge of optimizing websites for performance and SEO.
