Are you an experienced Payroll Specialist with a knack for efficiency, compliance, and accuracy? Our client in San Marcos is seeking a high-performing payroll professional to process multi-state payrolls, ensure regulatory compliance, and elevate the employee experience. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in working with high-volume payroll operations and has a sharp eye for detail!

Key Responsibilities:

+ Process accurate and timely payroll for employees in multiple states, including adjustments, garnishments, and deductions.

+ Manage employee data in payroll and HRIS systems, ensuring seamless transitions from hiring to termination.

+ Respond to payroll queries professionally and promptly, resolving any discrepancies or complexities.

+ Assist in payroll-related tax filings, including quarterly and annual reporting to state and federal agencies.

+ Conduct audits to ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, PTO policies, and benefit allocations.

+ Partner with HR and finance teams to improve processes and drive operational efficiency.

Requirements

+ 3+ years payroll processing experience; multi-state payroll experience preferred.

+ Proficiency in payroll software (ADP, Paylocity, or similar systems) and strong Excel skills.

+ Familiarity with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.

+ Outstanding organizational skills and ability to work under strict deadlines.

+ Strong customer service approach with effective verbal and written communication skills.
