    *What you'll do: *

    * Assist in preparing for in-office procedures such as biopsies and Ultrasounds by setting up necessary equipment.

    * Download blood sugar data from CGMs and blood glucose meters.

    * Manage the scheduling of patient appointments, coordinating with both patients and providers to optimize clinic flow.

    * Assist with managing clinic flow, scheduling patient follow-up appointments, communicating referral information, and discharge instructions.

    * You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our patients, working closely with experienced professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

    * Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment

    * Organizes and performs patient care services that support the physician’s practice including:

    o Assisting in preparing patients for examination/procedures

    o Assisting physicians with procedures

    o Relaying instructions from the physician to the patient or authorized person

    o Collecting patient data in person and by phone

    o Documenting patient concerns, messages and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician's review

    o Administering medications specifically directed by the physician

    o Performing vital sign documentation

    o Scheduling of appointments and procedures

    o Complete and accurate message taking

    o Routing messages to the appropriate area for direction

    o Order and referral entry

    o Acquisition of pre-certifications

    o Setting up of cases in EPIC plus basic registration and updating of demographics.

    *Required Qualifications:*

    * Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program or a minimum of two years of experience as a Military Corpsman or Medical Assistant Certification

    * BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA)

    *Preferred Qualifications:*

    * One year of previous MA experience

    * Diabetes & Endocrinology experience
