MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISION
+ Provides overall management for facility maintenance.
+ Manages, supervises and train Job Corps
+ Work-Based Learning students and leisure time student workers assigned to the Maintenance Department.
RESPONSIBILITIESo Follows all integrity guidelines and procedures and ensures no manipulation of student data.o Responsible for the management of facility maintenance through planning, budget control, stafftraining, scheduling and evaluation.o Manages and assures quality control of all facility and equipment subcontract work performedon Center, including oversight of National Office/Facility Lessor (i. e. any 3rd party) projects asthey impact Center Operations.o Coordinates with Center Management in CTST project planning sessions andCTST/Maintenance Meetings to ensure that CTST construction activities meet Companyquality control standards.o Develops, implements and manages the Centers energy conservation preventativemaintenance, facility management and related plans.o Develops, manages and ensures effective implementation of a computerized work order system,including timely corrective and preventative maintenance. Work order processing should becoordinated with CTT instructors to obtain student involvement in this process.o Prepare scopes of work required for subcontracts, with commensurate punch lists developedand completed to ensure that contractor work is conducted in accordance with the subcontractand the quality of the work is performed to local, Company and Government standards andexpectations.o Ensures all staff adhere to rest and meal break requirements.This job description includes data that shall not be disclosed outside the Corporation and shall not be duplicated, used ordisclosed - in whole or in part - for any purposes.o Fills staff vacancies in a timely manner. Pursues improvement and enhancement of services.o Exchanges ideas and information, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner andcontributes meaningfully to group efforts by offering relevant ideas and knowledge. Providesquality and timely information to DOL/Company when requested.o Effectively articulates thoughts and ideas. Identifies problems, analyzes causes and evaluatesappropriate solutions prior to taking or recommending actions. Follows up to ensureprompt/appropriate action is taken and that problems are in fact corrected.o Works in partnership with staff from all Departments to ensure effective supervision andservices are provided to students.o Accepts direction and supervision from the Center Director/Center Duty Officer/Shift Managerto include assignments to temporarily perform job responsibilities of other departments andpositions.o Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
+ High School Diploma or equivalentREQUIRED
+ Associate of Arts Degree from an accredited school or technical certification preferred.
+ Three to five years experience in facility/maintenance supervisory capacity and Electrician, HVAC or Plumbing license preferred.
+ Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing,
+ carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching.
+ Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and/or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.
