Job Title: Pre-Access Representative
Department: PPM
Hours Per Week: 40 hours
Schedule: Monday to Friday, day shift
SUMMARY:
The Pre-Access Representative is responsible for scheduling, pre-registration, and verifying insurance eligibility and authorizations for upcoming procedures. They ensure accurate collection of demographics, inform patients of financial responsibility, and collect payments when applicable. This role plays a key part in preparing patients for their visit by providing clear instructions and thorough documentation in the electronic medical record.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Schedules procedures, answers high-volume calls, and gathers complete patient and appointment information accurately.
+ Verifies insurance, obtains authorizations, and collects copays or refers patients to financial assistance as needed.
+ Conducts pre-registration and registration interviews, ensuring accurate data entry and timely completion.
+ Communicates clearly and empathetically with patients, maintaining confidentiality and resolving concerns.
+ Completes Medicare forms, verifies eligibility, and ensures compliance with HIPAA and policy standards.
+ Maintains professionalism and a safe, organized work environment at all times.
+ Supports staff training and participates in meetings and improvement efforts.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ High School Diploma (or equivalent)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Associate's degree in Healthcare or Business Administration (or related field)
+ 1-3 years of customer service, administrative, and data entry
+ Medical terminology
+ Strong attention to detail

PAY RANGE:
$18.70 - $27.44
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
