Because of the proprietary capital base, Skydeck Capital is not bound by any pre-defined time horizons or investment hurdles and can focus on long-term impact and value creation. Skydeck has historically invested in office, multifamily, mixed-use, industrial, and ground-up development assets.

General Description

The Investment Associate role is an in-office opportunity located in downtown Chicago. The role will directly support Skydeck’s entire portfolio of real estate investments and presents a unique opportunity to drive investment strategy and risk management across all asset classes.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

+ Analyze monthly financial statements and monitor asset performance across multiple properties, markets, and asset classes, identifying trends and areas for improvement

+ Provide analytical support on a variety of assignments including market research, cash flow modeling, property valuation, and preparation of internal reports

+ Collaborate with JV partners to ensure the successful management, execution, and alignment of business plans, and anticipate issues that may impact performance

+ Visit properties and provide feedback with ownership / tenant / user perspectives in mind

+ Assist in preparation and execution of capital events, due diligence, and other ad hoc analyses as necessary

Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in real estate, business, finance, accounting, or related field required, Master’s degree preferred

+ 3-5+ years of real estate or related experience

+ Experience with office, multifamily, or LP investing a plus

+ Well-rounded, with an enthusiastic attitude and strong work ethic

+ A strong understanding of real estate fundamentals and impacts of market conditions on asset values

+ Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Base Pay

$105,000-$135,000 USD Annually

The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills. In addition to base pay, the total annual compensation package may also include eligibility to participate in our bonus program(s) which are designed to reward individual and company performance.
