    Job Title: Continuous Improvement SpecialistJob Description

     

    We are seeking a dedicated Continuous Improvement Specialist to manage and execute continuous improvement projects within our plant, focusing on lean manufacturing principles. The ideal candidate will lead employee training initiatives to enhance the continuous improvement skill set within the organization and challenge the status quo to identify best practices for internal and external processes through benchmarking.

    Responsibilities

    + Manage and execute plant continuous improvement projects focusing on lean manufacturing.

    + Initiate and lead employee training to instill continuous improvement skills within the organization.

    + Continuously challenge the status quo as a daily activity within the section or business unit.

    + Identify best practices for internal and external processes through benchmarking.

    Essential Skills

    + Lean manufacturing

    + Process improvement

    + 2-3 years of plant manufacturing and process expertise/experience

    + Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations

    + Problem-solving, leadership, and coaching skills

    + Knowledge of ISO 9001: 2015

    + Experience with business and financial analysis

    + Proven experience in establishing and maintaining relationships within multiple levels of an organization

    + Experience delivering results as a change agent and providing change management within a manufacturing environment

    + Continuous improvement

    + Six Sigma

    + Kaizen

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to develop and implement Lean Manufacturing programs, including tracking, analyzing, reporting, and problem-solving internally and in relation to customer evaluation criteria.

    + Ability to plan, control, and assure product and process quality in accordance with quality principles, including planning processes, material control, acceptance sampling, and measurement systems.

    + Basic knowledge of reliability, maintainability, and risk management, including key terms, definitions, modeling, systems design, assessment tools, and reporting.

    + Thorough understanding of problem-solving and continuous improvement tools and techniques, including management and planning tools, quality tools, preventative and corrective actions, and how to overcome barriers to quality improvements.

    + Ability to acquire and analyze data using appropriate standard quantitative methods across a spectrum of business environments to facilitate process analysis and improvements.

    Work Environment

    This position involves working in both an office environment and manufacturing facilities. It may also require limited travel to customers' or vendors' locations.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
